Fragmented and confined in their space, Casts of a Broken Hand are produced as a personal form of documentation necessary for reflection. The separated casts are expressive in the physicality of surfaced emotion and capture a visual approach for feeling as a way of archiving and claiming control over the body. Once whole, the hand became disoriented, drawing a connection between material interaction and the way it translates into its own form of evidence for putting a past to rest.
